    Saving Settings (MSO2K sr1-a)

How can I back up all my font settings etc. so that I can in fact use different settings for different resolutions?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

You can use the Customize Views dialog to save your current view definition with its own name, such as MyInboxBIG and MyInboxSMALL. Then you can quickly change the current view using the drop-down on the Advanced toolbar. Of course, if you have to change frequently, especially if you have a lot of folders, you'll go insane. Perhaps someone can devise a macro solution that eases the transition.

But is there a way to export the view(s) so that you don't have to have the whole PST file?

Well... I don't know about Outlook 2000, but I noticed in Outlook 2002 that views can be accessed as XML-formatted strings. In another thread, we tried to edit the XML to change the appearance of grid lines in Outlook 2003, and the setting was ignored. So while you can save these settings, I don't know whether that actually does any good! In other words, I don't know whether you can successfully "restore" them.

You're undoubtedly right... Whenever I've tried "off-line" modifications, MSO (2K) seems to totally ignore them...

    Oh well... Thanks anyway.
