Limited acct vs Administrator (WIN XP HOME)

A friend had setup her computer with a single user which functioned as the Administrator. Her 8 year old grandson visited and typed in his name into the USER account. This apparently "screwed up" the computer and another friend deleted the grandson's account. This left only the original account but this is now a limited account. There is no Administrator account available. How can we create an Administrator account at this point?

Re: Limited acct vs Administrator (WIN XP HOME)

XP home has a hidden administrator account that can only be accessed from safe mode. Re-boot the computer and press F8 after the computer completes the power on self test. Select safe mode and log on as Administrator. Once logged on in safe mode you can change the account type for the normal account.
