    Calculating/Displaying Age (Access 2000(9.0.2720))

In my table I have a field called Age for which I want to capture the current age of a client. I can create an expression in a query to display the age and I can create a control on my form to display the current age. My problem is how/where do I calculate this information so that when I look at my table in datasheet view the age is displayed? Thanks for any help.

Do you really want to store age in the table? It will be wrong tomorrow, unless you mean something unusual like the age at which some event happened.

Usual practice is not to store age in the table, only store DOB and calculate age in a query any time you need it.

It sounds like you already know how to calculate age from DOB, but just in case here is a <post#=159291 >post 159291 </post#> with a solution to that problem.
    Regards

Thanks, John! The SQL statement you shared worked far better than the statement that I was using.
