Pop Up Query (E 2000)

Hi

Is it possible to have pop up query boxes like you do in Access?

I have an Excel spreadsheet with 15 columns and 5000 odd rows, ideally I would like to hide these and have just 3 different cells showing

please enter destination
Please enter weight
and then a blank cell that would find the answer based on the above 2 pieces of information.

Any ideas please

The problem doesn't sound too hard using queries "like in Excel"
My confusion is why you want to make Excel work like Access - why not just use Access?

In Excel, simply having another sheet with three active cells, two for entry, and one for the answer is more than adequate unless I'm missing something

e.g.
Cell A1 contains "Enter first thing" and Cell B1 is ready to accept that thing
Cell A2 contains "Enter second thing" and Cell B2 is ready to accept that second thing

Cell A3 contains "Result" and Cell B3 contains a formula, using Lookup functions

e.g. =VLOOKUP(B1,range_on_other_sheet,col1,0) * VLOOKUP(B2,range_on_other_sheet,col2,0)

or something of the sort

... and of course - you could do something similar with forms and VBA

Have you tried Data, Filter, Autofilter?

That sounds easy to do in Excel, but it does not sound like it would require any kind of "pop up query." Could you be more specific about what you need to do? Possibly post an example workbook?
