What is a Build version?? (Mozilla)

My computer just came back from a shop after a minor rebuild( new Intel, motherboard and added memory). Previously I was using Mozilla 1.5. Now it shows Mozilla{Build ID: 2003110115}. Could someone please explain what this means? It all seems to be working as before. Mucho Thanx.

Re: What is a Build version?? (Mozilla)

Mozilla build numbers are based on the date & time the code was released. It appears the shop has installed a different version of Mozilla, a google search shows that to be Mozilla 1.6 alpha.
I recommend that you consider using a different version (alpha & beta versions are meant for testers). You could always ask the shop to rectify the issue or you could install another version yourself. The latest build is 1.7.2
