    Win XP Pro (SP 2)

I am unable to get Macromedia flash 7,0,19,0 to run in either explorer or Netscape. I have enabled Active X and cookies, I am not sure if it has something to do with the security updates. I have it installed and Macromedia says that it is working properly. Netscape displays a simply white page with a title bar. Explorer shows a 1inch high page and all I can see is the title bar, it comes up with a second window which is approximately 1 inch square and I cannot read anything on that but when I close one they both close. This is the only area where I have any trouble at all. Every thing else is working fine.

If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them.

Have you tried removing Flash and re-installing?

You can update it by going to Internet Explorer | Tools | Manage Add-ons. Make sure the drop down is set to 'Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer' is selected. Then select 'Shockware Flash object'. Then click on the 'Update ActiveX' button.

Thanks I will give that a try. I am studing for a test right now. Thank you
I just took a minute to look at. I did as you suggested but there were not updates available. The window still came up the same way. The smaller window has the word "Internet " in the bottom bar. I double clicked on it and it opened up a window with active X controls and I went throught the list and changed the ones I thought might apply and now it works. I thank you for your help.
