    WINDOWS SIZE

Just reinstalled Win ME on newly reformatted HD, so having to do lot of resetting/configuring. WHY can't I get website or program windows to open full desktop size? All come up small.
I've tried tricks I know re telling Windows to display all windows same, as well as manually dragging out window borders then closing window and reopening. Nothing works.
Anybody know secret to filling screen with large windows?

Try maximizing the window and then hold down the shift key while clicking on the "X" in the upper right corner.

I'll give this a try. Question: does this have to be done with EVERY window that's less than optimum size? Seem to recall there was a setting in Win ME that affected all windows. No?

You said you had tried the settings without success. Go to Tools>Folder Options>View tab and put a check in the box Remember each folders view settings. I believe ther is also an option there to make all folders look like the current folder. HTH
