FP error msg-unable to access (Front page 2000)

When I attempt to access Front Page, I receive,"Microsoft Front Page has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were lost in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost."
I admit, I haven't been on my website to do any editing for about 30 days. I have, however, done a couple of MS updates, but NOT the SP2. Also, I have had my McAfee updated.
Suggestions?
Thanks!

Run Repair on FrontPage (or Office) in the Control Panel.

Where in control panel?
Had another suggestion from the board: Try using FP CD and to repair. Unfortunately, that didn't work. Could CD be corrupt or?
Thanks!

Okay, here's what I'd do; please be VERY careful to follow these instructions exactly!

First, running repair from the CD would be the same as from the control panel.
The control panel is Start-Settings-Control Panel. It's a component of Windows where you install/uninstall/repair certain programs.

However, I think you've tried that option, so the only thing I can think is that you've either got temp files that are interfering, or registry damage on FP.

Shoot. I want to continue, but really want to know what Operating System you have first.... please let me know ASAP.

Yes, tried CD repair. Didn't work. Although, It was the from the CD and not the add/remove programs. It was suggested I remove the entire program and try to reinstall, but I am reluctant to do that, since the CD may be corrupt. I will then lose FP entirely.
Running Windows xp home edition.
Thanks!

Well, removing FP entirely is my only fix too.
Why do you believe the CD to be corrupt?

I think the CD may be corrupt, because shouldn't it have fixed/repaired the missing/ damaged components? It didn't do ANYTHING!
But, I guess my only recourse, at this point, is to unistall. Hope it works!
Thanks for all of your input/suggestions!
