    Zoom Out words (2002/any)

I have several slides with text in text boxes and would like to have the timing take two or three non-contiguous words and zoom (them) out like a 3D effect, then back and continue w/the timing set for the slide(s)...possible? -- I currently have found a solution that works -- multiple text boxes overlayed. Is that the only way?

I'm not an expert on animation, but as far as I can tell, when you create animation settings for an object like a textbox, it affects all of the words in the textbox. To do things with individual words, I think you probably do have to have individual boxes for them (as I think you are describing). But probably you only need one box for each individual word, no?

Yes, I solved the problem with various text boxes, but was hoping there might be a less cumbersome way...I suspect not.

I needed a similar animation and had the same question. I asked one of the PPT developers at MS, and he said that the overlays/separate boxes were the way to go.

Kludgy, yes. Is there a better way to do it? Not that I'm aware.
