Combine and Format Multiple Cells into one cell (E

Not sure if I'm asking Excel to do more than it can do, but I want to combine values from 2 cells and add a symbol inbetween the two. For instance, if I have the value of 5 in A1 and 10 in A2, I want A3 to display 5/10 (the value of A1) + "/" + (value of A2). I tried doing this with the Text function with no success. Is this even possible to do?

    Thanks for the help!

Re: Combine and Format Multiple Cells into one cel

OK. Now I'm getting greedy. I now have the following formula:
    =A.IND!$F$1 &"/"& A.IND!$G$1&"-"&A.IND!$F$1/A.IND!$G$1
How can I format the last calculation (A.IND!$F$1/A.IND!$G$1) so that the result is limited to one place past the decimal (0.0)?
    Thanks!

    <P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by sdckapr on 18-Sep-04 23:25. corrected mistake)</P>Use the text function:

    =A.IND!$F$1 &"/"& A.IND!$G$1&"-"&text(A.IND!$F$1/A.IND!$G$1,"0.0")
