    security prompt (Outlook 2002 / SP3)

    Hello,

I'm using Outlook 2002 witih Word as e-mail editor.

Since I have applied SP3 I'm getting security prompt a lot more. For example when I click on send to write a new e-mail. Maybe important to mention I have installed about 3 *.dots in template/add-ins. I guess those dots are trigger the security prompt. With SP2 I had no problem. For workaround have a utiltiy "Click YES" installed.

But I'm hoping there is a better solution. Should be a way to tell Outlook what is trusted.

    Best regards
    Edy

<P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by jscher2000 on 19-Sep-04 23:14. )</P>The security prompt is triggered when, in Word, you choose File > Send to > Mail receipient ? I can't recall whether that is normal in Office 2000. If no one else is getting that, it could be one of your templates.

Added: Sorry, you're using Office XP. Me, too. When I try File > Send to > Mail receipient, address itk and then click Send, I don't get any warnings. Do I have the scenario correct?

    Thanks,

I don't need file send to to > mail recipient. I guess to it's something with my templates. Hope there is someboday you knows the answer to make a template a trusted source.

Do the templates have code? Do you have any code running in Outlook?

Ooops, I don't use Word as my e-mail editor, so my comments were not relevant. Sorry about that.
