    Search posts

Is there some way that I haven't noticed to expand all threads found as a Search Result? I get just one at a time, plus the thread outline below the result. So I wind up clicking them one at a time. Am I missing something? Thanks much.

Search results always come up in "threaded" mode rather than "flat" mode. Matching the user's default preference probably is on the wish list for the future. (It's a long list...)

Until then, there is a button at the top right of the thread, just below the words "World Clock" which lets you switch modes.

I had the same annoyance whenever I clicked on a link to another post. I know what to do now.

    Re: Search posts

I see the two responses to date; here's my two cents worth:

I do a lot of SEARCHing, and I use Mozilla/Firefox/Phoenix, whataver they are calling it this month, as a browser.

The browser permits me to right-click on a link and open it in a new tab.

    1. I emit the search and obtain, say, 50 links to messages.
    2. i right-click-new tab on each promising link (say ten of them).
This results in my having eleven tabs open.
    3. I return to tab#2 - the first of the New tabs, and click on the "expand thread" button, top right-hand corner.
    4. i repeat that process for the remaining tabs.
By the time I've done THAT, all tabs are open in full display mode.

I've found this to be, for me, the fastest way to see entire threads for my chosen links.

    HTH.

I think the Mozilla (integrated browser and mail client) and Firefox (browser only) names will be around for a while.

Thanks for jogging my memory. "FireBird", that was the other one (grin!)
