Shortcut bar that doesn't stick (Office 2000-2003)

    Hello,
You must have been asked this question already. I have Office 2000, XP and Word 2003 installed on my computer. Since I installed Word 2003 my Office Shortcut bar does not come up at start up. I told it to. I closed it and it asked me if I wanted to launch it when Windows starts and I said yes, several time. I have the same problem at the office. New computer, Win XP, Office XP only, shortcut bar not popping up at start up.

    tks

I don't have 2002 or 2003 to test, but can you drag a shortcut from it's location (mine with Office 2000 & Win 98 is C:WINDOWSApplication DataMicrosoftInstaller{00010409-78E1-11D2-B60F-006097C998E7}misc.exe to the windows startup folder?

Tks. That did it. It is just strange that installing Word only from the Office 2003 package removed the shortcut from the startup folder. Outlook was still there. With Win XP that has settings for different users I find it more difficult to think of everything when a problem arises.
    Tks again.

    Expected behavior as:

    1. Office 2003 does not have a shortcut bar.
    2. Mixing components from different versions of Office is not supported and should be expecxted to produce unexpexcted results.
