What happens if you substitute "11.0" for "10.0" ?

    I did that, of course.
But I forgot to mention it in my post.

Maybe there is a "backdoor" way to discover this by looking at the Administrative templates for Office and Word in the Policy Editor tools section of the Office 2003 Resource Kit? Just a thought, as these templates include numerous little registry settings.

RecentTemplatesList (Win XP / Word 2003)

(Edited by Phil Rabichow on 22-Sep-04 12:45. [small]Edited by Phil Rabichow to make the link clickable - see Help #19[/small])
In Word 2002 (XP) / 2003 the list of recently used templates is showing on the New document Task pane. The default number of templates shown is 4. According to <!mskb=288353>Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 288353<!/mskb>, it is possible to change that to a maximum of 9, through a registry setting:
    -- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice10.0Common
-- Add a new DWORD value, name it RecentTemplatesList and type i the desired number.

Unfortunately, as the KB article correctly states, this applies to Word 2002. I tried it in Word 2003, but that didn't work. And I could not find another article that discloses how to do that in Word 2003. Is there anybody out there that did succeed in finding a way?

Thanks for the suggestion. One of the Admins looked in those Administrative templates, but couldn't find anything related ro the RecentTemplatesList.
