address book made private? (windows xp)

Currently, the address book can be accessed in desktop via programs/accessories.
Is there a way to make this private, for user only?
    Thanks!

Look for the file in Windows Explorer. (You may have to check that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked in Control Panel|Folder options.) Right-click and choose Properties|Security. Restrict the User Access permissions accordingly. HTH
