    Unprotecting a project programmatically (2000, SP-3)

Anybody know if it's possible to unprotect a project via code? I would like to have the project password protected, but I have code that inserts an event handling procedure "behind" a sheet whenever a new worksheet is created. I was hoping to temporarily unprotect the project to allow my code to be added, but from what I can tell, it's not possible. Anyone know different?
    TIA

You can not unprotect a VBA project via code. Some people recommend using the SendKeys method to simulate keystrokes but that method is not reliable.
