Soooo sorry about this....I started a puzzle and accidentely posted it when I thought I deleted it.
None the less....it is probably a classic unsolvable....I can be proud about the mistake.

I figured it out!

You received three responses ahead of John Gray's (still forthcoming) post, nitpicking over your omitted apostrophe in the Subject. I still can't figure out the secret though. How did you manage it?

I see you still remember our little minor minute atom-sized fall-out a week or two ago on a certain board in a certain post! (I assume you are refering to this post?) -- Real GOOD memory Alan.
Just to avoid corrections from John, (although I realize he is just doing his required job!!) I shall re-edit the Subject: "What's the difference?"

This was quoted in the memorial to Dr. Kenneth Iverson, creator of APL.

The story: He is travelling in a car with colleagues. One colleague uses the phrase "It's the same difference". Second colleague pipes up "That's a meaningless comment; if they're different they can't be the same". Dr. Ken, ever the mathematician, interjects "Five minus three; four minus two; it's the same difference".
