    Proper Way to Setup Numeric Unbound Control For If (a2k (9.0.6926) SP-3 Jet 4.0 SP-8)

    I have three unbound controls on a form defined as Standard 2 decimal place and I populate them as follows:

    Me.PatientTotalAllowedYTD contains 0.00

    Me.Deductable =

    You could set the number format to Fixed. Standard ignores the decimal places setting. You can force the comparison to use numbers by using

    If Val(Me.Parent.Deductable) = Val(Me.Parent.DeductableRemaining) Then

    Fix didn't display the decimals.

    Val did the trick
