    Linking to Help file contents (2000/2003)

    Is their any way to provide a link to a particular page in a windows help file ? Or anything that would be the equivalent (URLs to similar content on miscrosoft.com).

    Sure would help in create training documents.

    You would need to know the help context ID numbers for the subjects you want to link to. For Excel, they are available for download from Help Context IDs (this link also describes how to use them.) I don't know of something similar for other Office applications.

    If you right-click a page in an HTML help file (we are talking about HTML help, right?) you will get a URL. Here's one for the Word help file page on the EQ field code:

    mk:@MSITStore:C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice101033wdmain10.chm::/html/worefEQEquation.htm

    but I can't quite figure out how to use this information to launch that page...
