Disabling right click - paste

I have a database which is used by people who use copy and paste to speed up their work. However, this causes them to make numerous mistakes, due to not changing what they've pasted. I am trying to disable the paste function. the keyboard shortcuts aren't a problem (autokeys macro worked a treat). However, the rightclick-paste shortcut is proving more difficult to disable. I had a look through the access help file and found refence to a command "button1.onclick" but haven't managed to work out how to use this function and if there is a button2.onclick.
I would be happy to disable the right mouse button completely for certain text boxes, if i'm unable to disable just the copy function. Any help would be much appreciated.

An idea is to build a custom Shortcut menu. This will allow you to place only the necessary commands in the shortcut (or Right-click) menu. You have to set the ShortcutMenuBar property of each control to the name of your newly created shortcut menu.

Check the Access helpfiles for specifics on building a shortcut menu bar and post back if you have any further questions.

If you set the shortcut menu property of each form or subform to false, that will turn off all shortcut menus from the form. Also, if a form has a custom shortcut menu, the controls inherit it unless you set a different shortcut menu for a specific control.

I have used the shortcutmenu command in the get and lost focus events in the fields I need right click disabled on. It works a treat. When I get time I might try and build a shortcut menu that is the same, just missing copy & paste.

These solutions look good, but don't address the "Ctrl-V" keyboard shortcut. Is this a concern? What would be necessary to short-circuit keyboard shortcuts?

(I find that when doing data entry, or anything else where Cut/Copy/Paste might be practical, keyboard shortcuts work faster than using a mouse, and without having to take my hands away from the keyboard.)

The point at the moment, is to disable BOTH keyboard and mouse shortcuts. It may speed up data entry, but in this particular database, all it causes is numerous errors which have a knock on effect for 3 different departments. It is a decision between having 1 department annoyed & 3 departments annoyed. Easiest solution is to disable paste at least.

Turning off the form's ShortCutMenu property gets rid of shortcut menus on all the controls. To avoid the Ctl+V, etc., you would have to remap the hotkeys when the form opens and then remap them again when the form closes.
