    links

I need to find any and all links in a document, just to report the fact that they are present, anybody got any clues how to go about this?

    Re: links

What do you mean by "links?" Hyperlinks, OLE links to app objects, or ??

    Re: links

links of all descriptions, there are (or seem to be) several type and methods for addressing links but i dont want to search for each type individually. I only want to inform the user that there are links in the document and they will need to be sorted out.

    Re: links

Are you looking only for links external to the document?

What about links that do not jump the user to anywhere but which display something from somewhere else? I have in mind STYLEREF and REF fields. Tables of Contents?
