There is an SR2 for Word 97. How about installing it?

    Hi dharris,

What are you doing when you receive the error message? e.g. Opening a file, Saving, Spell check, etc...

When you gave the user a new PC did you also recreate their profile?

    <img src=/S/sarcasm.gif border=0 alt=sarcasm width=15 height=15> It's not a bug, it's a feature. Isn't that the way Word is supposed to work? <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>

Is the user opening up the same document? Maybe the document is the problem and not Word.

I've also seen problems with user profiles. I've had to blow away the profile(Not fun), and the problem with Word goes away.

One other idea. Is the user installing any macros, add-ins, templates? Maybe one of those is the problem.

    Good luck.

It seems to only occur when either printing or more usually saving. We did recreate the profile on the new machine.
