Data Entry - Form View (2000)

Inadvertently, I set the view on a Form to Data Entry. Is this effectively a one-way Default ticket? It seems that either I must come up with some code for the On Open Event or I must go to Records| Remove Filter/Sort each time I open the Form. Have I overlooked one of the Form Properties?

A form has a Data Entry property, in the Data tab of the Properties window. If you set this property to Yes, you can only enter new records; if you set it to No, you can view existing records.

I already have it set to No. The problem is that when I reopen the Form, all the existing records are hidden.

More than likely, I should have explained that the restriction applies to the "mini-datasheet" in a subform. There are a number of entries in the subform for each record in the main form. When the form is reopened, the subform is in Data Entry view. Presently, I am resetting this by going to Records|Remove Filter/Sort in Worksheet Menu Bar.

Sorry if I have been opaque.

What happens if you open the subform by itself, from the database window? Does it show all records, or is it in Data Entry view?
