Replacement for MS Web Publishing Wizard

Created our first Web site last year, Windows 95, FrontPage Express and uploaded it to ISP using MS Web Publishing Wizard. Now want to upload edited files, but discover that program doesn't fit with new Windows XP. Can anyone tell me about another free and easy to use program?

I did download WS FTPLE, which I found on my ISP's help page, but can't figure out how to use it! I'm pretty new to all this and a complete stranger to HTML.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated! <img src=/S/bow.gif border=0 alt=bow width=15 height=15>

Re: Replacement for MS Web Publishing Wizard

You can use any FTP program (including Internet Explorer) to copy files from one location to another. The FTP process is not related to HTML skills - it's basically the same idea as a copy/paste between folders on your own computer.

See this tutorial for more details. (It appears a bit outdated, but the concepts should still be accurate with WinXP/IE6).

    Hope this helps

    Mark,

Thanks for the encouragement! The site you suggested looks detailed enough for me to follow: I need something very simple and straightforward so I know exactly what to do and how to cut and paste in the right places! Will give it a try tomorrow, when I get back to the Web site task and post again to let you know.

    Linda

PS Congratulations on your wedding! A handsome - and musical? - couple!
