Download Blocker

Hey kids! In response to This Thread in the Netscape Forum is there any software out there which will block the ability to download files, unless the proper password is provided? Ideally he'd be able to specify which files are to be blocked...(I.E. only .EXE, etc...)

Thanks All!

Not sure, but I think Wingate may be able to do it.
I'm fairly sure you can prevent things like sound files from being downloaded, so it may have the ability to stop exe's etc.

On a slightly different tack, but one which works well, is a product called mailmarshall, http://www.marshalsoftwarehttp://link.
This is essentally an e-mail contet scanner that is rules based. You set up rules to move the selected files to quarantine, where they can be examined by the administrator. For example we block all attachments, executables, shs,vbs etc.
