    Table text disappearing? (2003)

    Hello,

The screen-shot shows a Microsoft Word table at the end of a page.
Instead of the text continuing on a new page, it can be seen to literally disappear at the base of the cell.

Very bizarre! Just to mention that I have NOT allowed any of the table rows to break across the pages.
Any clues to this palaver? TIA.

    BD.

Does that row have a height set to exactly a specified value? (Table > Table Properties > Row)

This is what Hans is talking about...check your row height!

    Re: Table text disappearing? (2003)

Just wondering, why did you turn off the Allow row to break across pages option? I have found that if you turn this off, your table may continue on into 'la la land'. If you are trying to keep a row together on a page, the first thing you must do in tables is NOT use the enter key to place a space between paragraphs, use the Space After option found under Format Paragraph. I usually create a style for Table Text with this spacing in it. Then, when you want an entire row to stay together, use the Keep with Next, which will keep the current row with the next row in your table. Hope this helps! trish

Turning off "Allow row to break across pages" should only wreak havoc (i.e. "la la land") if your row is greater than what fits between the top & bottom margins. <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>

Hi Bob, Was searching the posts for information on problem I ran into and found yours. Did you get a resolution to this issue? Not having seen your document thought I'd offer a comment: I've seen this happen frequently when there is too much text in a cell and the user has exceeded the maximum text allowed in a row. The text can be there on screen but goes into 'obliviion' and will never print.

    Hello,

Cheers, the way I somehow solved the problem was by specifying a Cell Alignment of being Top Left (see scrn. Shot) and somehow that worked!

    Best regards,

    BD.
