Meeting without Inviting Yourself (Outlook 2000 - Exchange 2003)

Is there a way for an organiser of a meeting not to be invited to the meeting when creating an appointment in Outlook
We need this so that a PA can set up a meeting, but not have their calendar showing a Busy Event that they will not be attending.
Thanks

The only way is to create the meeting and then delete it on the Organizers Calendar without advising any of the attendees.

... and presumably you then lose control of it for updates or amendments?
Presumably you could just drag it to an alternate calendar folder?

Yes, and yes. Perhaps we should also explain the delegation capabilities of Outlook to the OP, assuming PA means Personal Assistant.

I wasn't aware that delegation capabilities would get around the described problem
If so - I'd be interested in hearing how too. By the way what is "OP"

With the right deledgation settings, a user on Exchange can have a delegate set meetings up for them without the delagatee being invited or having the item on the delegatees' Calendar.

OP = Original Poster. (When I'm too lazy to go back and look for their user name.)
