    Table column width (Word 2003)

Since we have upgraded to Word 2000 SP3 and Word 2003, the table columns automatically expand to the width of the longest word and adjusts the width of the adjacent columns.
Is there a way of preventing this i.e. if you insert a table with 5 columns, the width must stay as you have set it?
    Kind regards

With the insertion point in the table, select Table | Table Properties.
    Activate the Table tab.
    Click Options...
Clear the check box labeled 'Automatically resize to fit contents'.
