    My Computer security zone

When you select Internet Options from within IE or using the control panel there are 4 zones listed on the security tab - Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted Sites and Restricted Sites. There is a 5th hidden zone, the My Computer zone that can be used to customize security levels. For example Windows XP Service Pack 2 changed some settings within the My Computer zone to improve security

How to Enable the My Computer Security Zone in Internet Options

A couple of articles that discuss this zone are:
Exposing IE's hidden zone from Windows IT PRo site
Internet Explorer Security- the Local or "My Computer" Zone - this site includes some useful links to articles by Microsoft.

Using the My Computer zone is for advanced users as changing these settings can stop applications that rely on specific IE settings from working.

    Good find, Tony.
I'll have to give it a more complete look later.

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
    Today it is called golf!
