    Processing in background (Word 2003)

We are converting several VB & Access programs to Office 2003. The problem is that after conversion the interactive processing between VB/Access and Word causes the Word application to flash to the front periodically. This was not the case using Office 97. The activity is distracting to my users and they want me to stop it.

I've attempted to hide the Word Application with visible=False but the application still comes up when I open a document or a template (using VBA in VB/Access, of course).

Does anyone have a miracle VBA statement to cause Word to hide down in the taskbar while the VB/Access program is in the drivers seat. I've also tried WindowState = wdWindowStateMinimize which is what seemed to work in Office 97.

    Thanks

Are you using Documents.Add ? I believe it has a parameter to hide the new document, separate and apart from the visibility of the application. Does that help?
