    Can't start applications - AUTOEXEC.NT (XP Home Edition)

    I recently had a virus (Dropper.Delf.3.L) not sure if this might have caused my problem.

    When I try to start MYOB 10, I get the following message:
    {heading: 16 bit Windows subsystem}
    C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

    And I can no longer open MYOB v. 10 which worked fine last week. Thing is, Autoexec.nt does not exist.

    Can anyone help me with this issue?

    Thanks in advance!

    See if Error message when you install or start an MS-DOS or 16-bit Windows-based program helps. You will need to have the Windows XP CD-ROM at hand.

    I knew it! I knew that someone here (Hans, so often it is you!) could help me with this problem. I avoided tearing my hair out, just posted the message, knowing that it would be resolved. I knew I didn't have to stress out!
    Thanks Hans, the link you advised pointed me exactly towards the right area and fixed my problem in nothing flat. Much thanks.
