Defining a style (VBA / Word XP)

I am attempting to set up a macro to define a number of styles in a document. I want the first style to be based on "no style"
I cannot find the correct parameter to enter in opposite .basestyle. Can anyone indicate where I can find an explanation for this. The help files in Word explain using style names or wd. values but I cannot see the one for "no style"
    thanks

Set the BaseStyle property of the style to the empty string "".
