Outlook Meeting Notes (Outlook 2000 SP-3)

When I receive a meeting invitation, I often want to write notes to myself in the message section of the meeting invitation. Outlook gives me a message that should the owner of the meeting reschedule, I will lose all of my notes. I have tried writing the notes in a word document and attaching the file to the meeting invitation, but I receive the same message when I try to save. I would really prefer to open the meeting in my calendar and see everything that I need to know about the meeting, my notes and what I have to bring to the meeting in one spot without having to go someplace else. Is there a good solution/work-around for this?

(Edited by JohnBF on 13-Oct-04 05:52. )
You'll always lose anything you add to the Meeting Invitation if the originator sends an update. But you should be able to put your notes in an Outlook Note, and then Insert the Note as an Item in the Meeting Invitation. That way if the meeting is overwritten, you don't lose the content of the Notes, you just lose the link and have to reinsert the Note item.

    Thanks, John. It's a very practical work-around.
