    Win98 "Auto Arrange" Default

    Hi,

I want my Win98 PC to have "Auto Arrange" as default when I am file browsing. How can I make this default?

Perhaps there is some registry tweak for Win98.

    TIA,

    Musab Qureshi

Please explain "Auto Arrange" based ON WHAT?
And file browsing using what program?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Re: Win98 "Auto Arrange" Default

    Hi,

When file browsing using Windows Explorer - via "My Computer" on the Desktop. I am tired of manually setting it to "Auto Arrange" for every single folder I open!

    TIA,

    m.q.

    Re: Win98

Have you tried setting up one folder to auto arrange and then clicking: View|Folder Options|View|Like current folder ?
Once you've set one folder to behave the way you want it to, this option should cause all others to take on the same characteristics.
    Hope this helps.
