    Actual Signature (Word 2002)

I will be sending out both a word document and an excel document to our current customer via e-mail (Outlook 2002) and I would like to have my boss actual signature on the cover letter (word document). Is this possible and if so, how can I do it?

    Re: Actual Signature (Word 2002)

You'll need a scanned image file of his signature. The format doesn't matter (gif, jpg, bmp etc.), but try to get the backgroung colour to match that of the document - white usually - and crop the graphic fairly closely to the actual signature. Insert it as a picture (from file) at the point you'd like in the document.

We do this at the firm I work at - and it's pretty simple. As Alan says you'll need a scanned image of the signature, then we insert it in a document, create it as an AutoText entry and then copy it into that secretaries Normal.dot.
