    VB Toolbox -Toolbar (Excel 2000)

I seemed to have turned off (grayed out) the VB Toolbox, toolbar. How do I turn it on or make it visible again.

    Try:
    View - toolbars
check the tool bar you want visible

    I have tried this.
View - Toolbars only has 4 options
    Debug
    Edit
    Standard
    UserForm

When in the Visual Basic window, under View the menuitem "Toolbox" is always grayed out. I think when trying different code I set the menuitem to be always grayed out.

I'm rusty on CB syntax, but try this in your VBE Immediates Window:

    Application.CommandBars("Visual Basic").Enabled = True
-John ... I float in liquid gardens

I've never paid attention to it, but in the VBE it seems mine is grayed out unless I'm working on a user form.

It seems to me that the toolbox you want is only visiable when you have a userform active.

Perhaps the OP is referring the forms design dialog in the VBE, but I took it to mean that he or she is referring to the ToolBar which appears when you run:

    Application.CommandBars("Visual Basic").Visible = True

This is a TB that appears on the worksheet View, not in the VBE.

In rereading the OP, I think you are right on all counts. If <!profile=mlorenz>mlorenz<!/profile> is looking at a Userform and the Toolbox is still disabled, try the following:

Under the VBE Tools | References check "Microsoft Visual Basic For Applications Extensibility 5.3", then in the Immediates Window run:

    Application.VBE.CommandBars("MSForms Toolbox").Enabled = True

(I just learned this fun stuff from this <!post=VBA Forum,175590>VBA Forum<!/post> link to MS Programming the MS Visual Basic Editor.)

    Try this:

Right click on an unused area in the menu or tool bar areas. On the popup menu click on Customize... Click on the Toolbars tab in the dialog box. Click on the VB toolbar name, then click on the reset button.
