Re: Outpost Firewall Pro 2.5 has been released

The weird thing is, Agnitum suggested waiting for 2.5 for best compatibility with XP SP2... but I don't see that on the list!

Anyway, this probably is one of those "head start for new users" things, as 2.1 doesn't download the 2.5 update yet.

Re: Outpost Firewall Pro 2.5 has been released

As one of the company Beta Testers I can assure you that this new 2.5 version/build is 100% compatible with SP-2. We've tested over half-dozen builds in this series with SP-2 and it works great. As to why the update isn't showing up with the autoupdater I can't say. You can, however, download it from the Agnitum website. As you can see from the History Change log.. a LOT of work went into this update.

It was well worth the wait! <IMG SRC=http://www.the-highway.com/Smileys/trustme.gif>

Re: Outpost Firewall Pro 2.5 has been released

I'll say this, I had some doubts about going up to 2.5 after reading the couple of horror stories on the Outpost User's Support site, but tonight I upgraded - smooth as silk, and so far running like a clock..
Thanks Jeff for your vote of confidence on the software.

    Just sign me
    A happy camper.
