I have got a Samsung (allegedly) USB Flash drive, and downloaded a Windows 98 USB 1.1 driver from http://www.connect3d.com/support/default.htm, which should work.
When the drive is connected, Windows find new hardware called USB DRIVE
When I try to get Windows to look for "the driver" from the unzipped version of the above file, it does not recognise it. I suspect this is because there is a mismatch in the name of the device in the GENUSBMS.INF file, which I've attached as a TXT file.
Does anyone know enough about .INF files to tell me if I should be editing any of the lines to include the words "USB DRIVE", perhaps?

Have you right clicked the INI file to see if there is a "Install" selection?

The only supplied files are .INF, .PDR and .SYS

Typically for USB Drives, you must install the drive software first. As Dave indicated, right clicking on the GENUSBMS.INF file should provide you with an install option. I just checked that file and it will access the other 2 provided files and set up the Samsung device software.
