    RE: Joining data for Graphing (XP SP1)

    I have data for the same series in different columns and I'd like to plot a line graph as one series. Is there a format for the date range that combines the two data sets enabling me to plot the series as one line? Thanks.

    Make your chart with series 1.
    Then highlight the second range of data
    Ctrl-c to copy to clipboard
    Select the chart
    edit - paste special
    Select "New points" (change other options as appropriate)
    <ok>

    Thanks, that did the trick. Looking at the Series source on the graph, the different data segements (ranges) are separated by a comma.

    Yes, You can also edit from the series data, but I find it easier to do with copy/paste special and not worry about the syntax, let excel work it out for itself.
