Images in Access (WinXP Of 2003)

I am experimenting with images in a form. I turn the Wizard on, select Image from the toolbar, click in the image area of the form in design view, dbl click on a .bmp file in the Insert Picture box, and the image is transferred to the form.

As the image does not fill the space available, I open the image properties, change size mode to clip, but nothing happens.

I tried clip and tiling as another combination, but again nothing happens.

This is my first try at this. Any ideas?

Set the Size Mode property of the image to Stretch. Note that the image control will be filled but the picture can be distorted

Tried linked and embedded. Also clip, stretch, and zoom. Also clip and tiled. None have any effect. Tried each of those with embedded and linked. I thought that I was following the help file, but obviously I am doing something wrong.

(Edited by Francois on 16-Oct-04 23:50. To correct picture with Image properties)
This is what I get. The only difference between the pics is zoom, clip and stretch

The field is defined in the table as Data Type OLE Object, Field Properties Required = No. Not much there.

In DataSheet view of the table, I right click on the field, but Insert Object is greyed out.

I go to the design view field on the form where the image should go, click Image on the tool box, click in the space for the image, the Insert Picture dialog box comes up, and double click on the .bmp file. The image shows up about 1 1/2

I'm afraid I don't know what you're doing different of me.
When I create a table with an ole object type, the insert object is not grayed out and I can insert a picture in the field.
In attachment a sample db with the clip zoom and stretch property.

I don't know what I did differently, but it is working. Great idea of sending an example. Thanks.
