After animation query! (PPT XP >)

    Hi again,
In my latest presentation I added after animation to dim the previous point when the next one comes in.
I discovered that when you press "enter" to advance after the last point has been dealt with, the after animation is fired, (so the point dulls out) and then you need to "enter" a second time to advance to the next slide. This happens on all the slides - that I need to "enter" twice after the last point to advance to the next slide.

Is this common to PPT XP? It never did this in 2000 or earlier versions! <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>
    Regards,
    Rudi

In that situation, you don't want a "dim" on the last item, do you? (I assume you have a custom animation on each point.)

    Yeah, it's annoying, isn't it?

I suggest that you use one of the emphasis animations instead of the "dim" feature to set your bullets to dim at the same time the next bullet enters.

    Thanks Wendell...that makes sense....
I was lazy at the end of a long "creating" session, and selected ALL the animated points (in the custom animation task pane), and then added the dim feature to save time...so it obviously dimmed the last point too!
It all seems so obvious now...the last point must not get the dim command <img src=/S/bingo.gif border=0 alt=bingo width=15 height=22>
