    Unable To Uninstall

I'm attempting to install AV software on a friend's computer from an installation CD. Below is a screenshot of an error message which is displayed prior to installation. Panda Titanium AV was installed at one time but was removed at some point. Control Panel /Add/Remove does not list this software and Macafee refuses to proceed further.
    Any takers?

I would do a hunt through the hard disk (particularly Startup Files) and the registry for anything Panda-like and delete enthusiastically before playing with McAfee. Clearly "something" has been left lying around, which McAfee seems to be calling by accident...

This could be a lengthy and messy process.

Thanks for the response, John. I've already started the process by deleting all registry entries that I can identify as Panda -related. It seems that I'll have to keep on fishing.

There appears to be total confusion on that system! Maybe McAfee is trying to uninstall Panda but can't find the uninstaller? If the Panda web site doesn't have "total removal" instructions, perhaps you can find some on usenet newsgroups (Google "Groups" is an easy way to search them).

    Re: Unable To Uninstall

I've managed to remove all traces of Panda from the registry and it seems to have done the trick. However, out of a sense of altruism, I have not installed Macafee!
