    Autoformat fractions (Access 2003)

I have been asked to build into an Access application something that will automatically format fractions in a text field.

It seems to me that I can do that for 1/2, 1/4 and 3/4, but only for them.

I have written the following function that will convert

    This contains 1/2 and 1/4 and 3/4

    into

    Hi John,
I think you've bumped into the issue that most standard fonts only have those three fractional characters, but I did discover that Unicode fonts such as Arial, Comic Sans and Tahoma do have some additional fractions starting with Hex 215B that add the 8ths. There is also a fraction slash which is apparently different from the normal one??? You can find these when you do an advanced view/search in the Character Map utility. Hope this helps.
