    Line spacing changing

Document created in Word 2000 - printing to an HP Laserjet 5M. Sometimes the line spacing in the document changes from one print to the next. The printer has not changed. The text starts at the same place on the page, but slowly "creeps" out until the last one or two lines are forced onto the next page.

If the document is one with multiple sections and the printing is within one section, the text still starts in the same place (ie at the top of the first page of the section), but subsequent lines "creep" down.

    Any ideas?

For the kind of printer you are using, this solution might be less than ideal, but just to diagnose the problem better, try feeding sheets manually. If this prints OK, then chances are that the paper feed mechanism in the printer needs to be fine-tuned.

    Re: Line spacing changing

We gave up with our LJ5's and 'told' them they were LJ4's. Much more reliable and consistent results.
Can you install another (virtual) printer as a LJ4 and try it?
