    STSNWI.DLL (2003)

I am no longer able to connect to remote web site to upload new pages.
The machine is using Windows XP (SP2).

FrontPage displays an error that it is unable to open "STSNWI.DLL"

The Microsoft KB does not have any listing for this DLL.

Has anyone come across this problem before?

I don't think that the problem is on the host's server because I was able to upload the pages from another machine using FrontPage 2002 (W2K).

I just installed TrendMicro's Client/Server/Messagin antivirus program, so I suspect that this may have caused the problem, but am not sure. The TrendMicro support site doesn't have any posted solutions with this DLL either.

I suspect this is the same thing, from a usenet post:

Ah yes, this one took about two months to get resolved
    when it happened to me.

    1. Start regedit.exe
    2. Navigate to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftShared Tools
    Web Server ExtensionsWeb Extender Client
    3. Look for a value named wecctlflags
    4. If you find it, either delete it or set it to zero.

If your FrontPage 2003 was a clean install, that is, FrontPage 2002 was never on this machine, then the problem might be something else.

    Re: STSNWI.DLL (2003)

After working fine for two weeks this problem occurred again.

What I have discovered (although not figured out why) is that this error only occcurs when Outlook 2003 is open before starting FrontPage 2003.

If I close both Outlook and FrontPage, and then restart FrontPage, FrontPage works properly.
