Reinstall of Excel (XP)

I recently had to reinstall the XP operating system and Office. When I start Excel it appears to be installing something each and every time a new session of Excel is started.

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

This error is often associated with having more than 1 version of Office installed.

Thanks for the suggestion. It was related to the install wizard. I uninstalled Office XP and then proceeded to install it once again this time using a custom install as opposed to the "typical install"
