    stack overflow message (6)

For the past two days when opening OE I get a series of stack overflow messages for MSIE. I'm forced to deal with these before I can use OE. Anyone know what this is about? I'm running windows XP, SP2.

Quite likely to be a virus.
Are you running any anti-virus software? If you are, and your definitions are up to date, I would try an IE repair (should be available through the Add/Remove Programs window.)

I have Norton anti virus which finds no infection. I also am using Zone Alarm. I ran repair for Office but am still getting the stack overflo messages.

Just as a footnote, Outlook Express is not part of Office but part of Internet Explorer, which is part of Windows. You might be able to refresh the install using the icon for Windows on the left hand side of the Add/Remove programs dialog. (Apologies if your dialog is different, I'm using Windows XP Pro.)

Thanks to all for your help. Actually the problem seems to have disappeared as mysteriously as it arose.
