    Combo Box (2000)

How to I display more than one field in the text box after I select them in the drop down list? What I have is a combo box that has the list of last names and first names. After I select a record, it only displays the last name. I want it to display the last name and first name. How can I do this?
    Thanks,
    BMZ

You can't display more than one column in a combo textbox.
To have the last and first name, you can concatenate them:
In the row source property of the combo, modify the sql or the query to something like this:
Select LastName & " " & FirstName As FullName From MyTable

Thanks, that works great. Is there a way to allow the scroll wheel on a mouse scroll through the combo box?

Not that I know, but maybe others know a solution.
Did you set the Auto Expand property of the combo box to Yes so you can type the first character(s) to go to the desired item ?

Once you have clicked the dropdown arrow of the combo box, you can use the mouse wheel to scroll through the items in the list.

When I do this, the dropdown disappear and I'm scrolling through the records.
Is there some property or option I have to change ?

I'm not aware of a special setting for this. Hard to say what causes the difference - it might be due to the Access version (I'm using Access 2002 SP3) or to the mouse + driver (I'm using a Logitech optical wheelmouse on Windows XP SP2)

It is also working in Access 2003.
I suppose the whole mouse acting has been review in Access 2002 and 2003, since there is, in the form events, a On Mouse Wheel event that don't exist in Access 2000.

Wheel mouse support and events were added in 2002. Before that, you had to use API calls to handle mouse wheel activity.
