    Customize Menus Question (Excel 2000)

I am enclosing a .jpg of a question I have about the Customization of a commands icon. What is the difference between:

    Text only (always)

    AND

    Text only (In Menus)

    Thank you

Re: Customize Menus Question (Excel 2000)

If you select Text Only (Always) the option name is spelt out without any icon in both menu bars and toolbars.

Text Only (menus) removes the icon from the selected menu option only.

To see a demonstration, go to the customize option, select the New option from the File menu bar, set Text Only (Always). Now if you drag the menu item (New) to a toolbar, the button will display only text. If you repeat twith Text Only (menus) selected, the button should show the relevant icon rather than the text. Reset your menus when finished the experiment.

    I hope this clarifies

    Andrew,

Meant to thank you sooner in the day. Appreciate the feedback as always...and even more importantly...the speedy answers you always give.
