Imbedded code in Word docs (Word 2000 (9.0.3821 SR-1))

Does anybody recall a well-deserved rant by Woody a year or more back regarding a potential exploit involving embedded spyware in a Word doc? Scenario: I construct a script that will capture things like file locations, etc., used on your system, place it in a Word doc as a code not normally displayed, then e-mail it to you with a request that you review, comment and return it. You, trustingly, do so, the script does the dirty in your system, and when you obligingly send it back with your comments, I get much more than you know. If anybody knows where to find this, particularly if it's now included in one of Woody's recent books, please advise.
    Thanks!

Hi & welcome to the Lounge

I believe you are referring to the document collaboration spyware exploit that used field codes. See WOW Vol7 No 44

That's the one, and thank you very much! I've hidden a copy and the link where even our network administrator shouldn't be able to delete them.
